📝 PART 2: GRAMMAR — NGỮ PHÁP NỔI BẬT

🔸 1. Passive Voice in News Reporting (Bị động trong báo chí)

Tin tức tiếng Anh rất hay dùng câu bị động để nhấn mạnh sự việc thay vì chủ thể.

Ví dụ từ bài:

  • "A NATO military jet was shot down a suspected Ukrainian drone." → Drone đã bị bắn hạ
  • "The Ebola outbreak was declared a Public Health Emergency." → Dịch bệnh đã được tuyên bố
  • "Several Americans are believed to have had exposure to suspected cases."
  • "The SCO is increasingly touted as a NATO alternative."

Công thức: Subject + be + past participle (+ by agent)

🔸 2. Reported Speech with "claimed/stated/warned" (Lời tường thuật)

Ví dụ từ bài:

  • "Trump claimed China agreed to buy 200 Boeing aircraft, but analysts questioned the lack of a timeline."
  • "Amnesty International warned that Trump's apocalyptic threats demand urgent global action."
  • "Putin claimed the Ukraine crisis 'wasn't triggered by Russia's attack' but by a Western-supported coup."
  • "Africa CDC warned of risks due to urban transmission, mining-related mobility, insecurity..."

Mẹo: Sau các động từ tường thuật (claimed, stated, warned, said), thường dùng that + mệnh đề.

🔸 3. Present Perfect for Recent Events (Hiện tại hoàn thành)

Ví dụ từ bài:

  • "Russian forces have suffered a net loss of controlled territory..." (kể từ 8/2024 đến nay)
  • "Ukraine has intensified its drone campaign..." (gần đây, ảnh hưởng đến hiện tại)
  • "The U.S. has allowed a sanctions waiver to lapse." (vừa xảy ra)

Công thức: Subject + have/has + past participle

Thường đi với: since, for, recently, already, yet, just.

🔸 4. Past Perfect for Earlier Past Events (Quá khứ hoàn thành)

Ví dụ từ bài:

  • "Several Americans... are believed to have had exposure to suspected cases."
  • "Russian forces suffered a net loss... for the first time since August 2024 had ended."

🔸 5. Relative Clauses (Mệnh đề quan hệ)

Ví dụ từ bài:

  • "The SCO, comprising China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Iran, and others, is increasingly touted as a NATO alternative." (rút gọn: which comprises → comprising)
  • "Xi held bilateral meetings with leaders including Modi and Lukashenko."
  • "Putin's staunch ally, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko."

🔸 6. Concessive Clauses with "despite" (Mệnh đề nhượng bộ)

Ví dụ từ bài:

  • "Despite a power imbalance, the summit highlighted the deepening China-Russia relationship." (Mặc dù... nhưng...)
  • "Analysts questioned the lack of a timeline, but Trump called the talks 'very successful'."

🗣️ PART 3: SENTENCE PATTERNS — CẤU TRÚC CÂU HAY DÙNG

🔹 Pattern 1: "X is increasingly touted as Y" (X ngày càng được quảng bá như Y)

Ví dụ: "The SCO is increasingly touted as a NATO alternative."

Áp dụng: "Online learning is increasingly touted as the future of education."

🔹 Pattern 2: "X marks the first time since Y" (X đánh dấu lần đầu tiên kể từ Y)

Ví dụ: "April 2026 marks the first time since August 2024 that Russian forces suffered a net loss."

Áp dụng: "This year marks the first time since 2010 that Vietnam's GDP grew over 8%."

🔹 Pattern 3: "X is believed to have + past participle" (X được cho là đã...)

Ví dụ: "Several Americans are believed to have had exposure to suspected cases."

Áp dụng: "The ancient city is believed to have been built around 3000 BC."

🔹 Pattern 4: "X warned that Y demands urgent Z" (X cảnh báo rằng Y đòi hỏi Z khẩn cấp)

Ví dụ: "Amnesty International warned that Trump's threats demand urgent global action."

Áp dụng: "Scientists warned that climate change requires urgent policy changes."

🔹 Pattern 5: "X suffered a net loss/gain of Y" (X chịu mất/được ròng Y)

Ví dụ: "Russian forces suffered a net loss of controlled territory."

Áp dụng: "The company suffered a net loss of $2 million last quarter."

🔹 Pattern 6: "X has intensified its Y campaign against Z" (X đã tăng cường chiến dịch Y chống lại Z)
