English Test - B1 Level (Travel Theme)

Part 1: Reading Comprehension

Read the passage below and choose the correct answer (A, B, C, or D) for questions 1-5.

My Recent Trip to Bali

Last month, I had the opportunity to visit Bali, Indonesia, and it was an amazing experience. I have always wanted to explore this beautiful island, and I finally made it happen. The weather was perfect, with sunshine every day and gentle breezes in the evening.

During my stay, I stayed in a small hotel near the beach. The hotel was not expensive but very comfortable. Every morning, I woke up early to watch the sunrise over the ocean. It was absolutely breathtaking! I also tried local food at small restaurants near my hotel. The Balinese dishes were delicious, especially the satay and nasi goreng.

One day, I took a guided tour to see the rice terraces. These are beautiful green fields that look like stairs going up the mountains. The local farmer told me that they have been growing rice in these terraces for hundreds of years. It was interesting to learn about their traditional farming methods.

Before I left Bali, I bought some souvenirs for my friends back home. I also took many photos to remember this wonderful trip. I have already started planning my next vacation to another Asian country. Bali has definitely become one of my favorite destinations!
